It's bad enough throttling someone on purpose...

~Things are definitely, hellishly out of hand. Wesley is shrieking at himself to stop, but his body is completely indifferent, paying attention only to whatever bloodthirsty, perverse demon is controlling him. Wesley is getting the shit kicked out of him, but Wesley definitely has the upper hand. He's strangling Snape and Snape is helping.

Wes feels himself losing control. It hasn't been easy staying sane. He wasn't exactly winning the battle when he was alive. It seemed as though he was making some progress when he was pitted against Vale; it gave him focus, something to cling to, a desperate goal to cling to. He HAD to remain sane if only to destroy Vale. Then, Vale destroyed him.

Staying sane doesn't seem so important in Hell- in fact, being insane might even help one cope. But once Wesley met Snape, a tormented soul in need of rescue, in need of leadership and guidance and help, Wesley had a new found grasp on sanity. Wasn't that his sole purpose in life, his driving need- to help, to save people. He may have failed miserably in life (at everything he attempted, actually) but maybe he could still make a difference for one person.

But in life Wesley hadn't failed to become a fighter. He learned to hone the training he'd received as a Watcher into deadly force. He mastered his own body, turned it into a weapon. His specialty was distance weapons, true- he had incredible aim- but he certainly wasn't helpless in hand to hand combat with most vamps, and that made him deadly to any mortal man if that man crossed him.

Wesley stares in horror as he struggles to take back control of his voluntary responses. He knows his hands are working hard to snap Snape's neck, and he also knows he has the strength to do it. Luckily, Snape has managed to dislocate one of Wesley's kneecaps, somewhat weakening Wesley's position. Though Wesley's body tries to avoid Snape's blows, Wes can't help but hope Snape manages to take his other leg out and entirely disable him. He doesn't want to be a murderer again. Ever.~

*Snape is dying-again. Wesley hasn't managed to snap his neck yet, but between the two of them, Snape can't breathe. He thinks how unfair it is that in Hell you seem to need air...why does an already dead man need air? But then, why does an already dead man feel pain?

It's infuriating, Snape thinks to himself. I just got over being dead. But even as he thinks this, trying to gain control over himself, he starts to black out. Well, at least it would only be a matter of time before he revived.

But as he slips towards oblivion, his body seems to suddenly realize that, with Snape dead, it cannot have control over him. His arms release him and, instead, his fingers aim for Wesley's eyes. His legs, encouraged by the damage done on one knee, now tries for the other. And as it does, Snape's own anger over the situation rises, giving even more strength, if not precision or thought, to the attack. He doesn't really want to kill Wesley but, damn it, he's tired of dying all the time!*

*Snape feels the agony in his neck increasing, but can give his body no guidance. He doubts he can last much longer; Wesley had the element of surprise originally and has the training. Still, Snape's body hasn't given up. His left hand is still trying for Wesley's eyes, but the right one gropes until it finds a sharp rock from the mine, and begins slashing at the hands that are choking him. Once his right arm is, well...armed...the left leaves the attack briefly to find another rock, and it's not long before both hands and arms are slashing and smashing at Wesley's face and hands.

Meanwhile, Snape's legs, having brought Wesley to his knees, now attack the stomach and groin. Snape's body also tries to ram forward into Wesley, so that he's rocking back and forth, legs and arms synchonizing with the rhythm, and all done in an eerie silence, since Snape cannot draw breath to curse or apologize, or even cry out.*

*As soon as Wesley's hands release him, Snape manages one feeble, raspy breath before the chop disrupts his ability to breathe again. Just before Wesley's body had released him, he was beginning to turn blue as his oxygen levels dropped. With that one rasp, he had hopes of catching his breath, but that quick blow has been as effective as his kick to Wesley's gut had been. Unable to breathe, he passes out and goes limp in Wesley's grip.*

*Snape is breathing slightly again, in small wheezy breaths, but is still unconscious as his body, now released, rises slowly, his head lolling. His mind is still unconscious, but his body, independent of his mind, forces his eyes open and looks around. It sees Wesley's body struggling with itself, and seems torn for a moment between assault on Wesley or itself. Finally, as if assured that Wesley's own body will take care of Wesley, Snape's body turns once again on itself, throwing itself against the sides and floor of the tunnel, almost like a petulant child with a tantrum.*
