*Wesley cries out in pain and shock as Snape makes contact with the already wounded knee. The jolt drops him and hope flashes in his mind- briefly- and is instantly diminished as he realizes his hands are still grasping Snape's neck, having wrenched the potions master into a half-forward fold. But Wesley's on his knees now, and Snape's kicks are more effective. Wesley catches a kick squarely under the ribcage, knocking the air from his lungs. But his hands seem independent of the pain and inhibitive winding, and they wrench Snape's neck until Wesley can feel the bones pop, hear the awful sound...*
